Understanding cookies

Cookies are small text values saved in your browser so a website can remember information between visits. First-party cookies come from the website you visit; third-party cookies come from another service. Session cookies generally last for a browser session, while persistent cookies have an expiry date or remain until you delete them.

Cookies used on this website

Signed browser identifier for chat security and conversation ownership. Created when you start chat; contains no name or chat text. Expires after 24 hours.

How we use these preferences

The language cookie helps keep navigation and page content in your preferred language. The cookie-choice record remembers your answer across pages and visits so the notice does not appear on every page. Removing these cookies may reset those preferences.

Analytics, advertising, and optional cookies

Optional cookies allow the embedded Google Map on the Contact Us page. The map stays unloaded until you select Accept. Reject leaves it disabled, and a link to open directions on Google Maps remains available. You can change your choice in Cookie settings. We do not use separate analytics or advertising tools.

Other browser storage

We store the name you provide, your questions, displayed answers, source references and review notes for up to 90 days. Authorized administrators can review conversations, flag abuse and correct future chatbot answers. Names and transcripts are encrypted in our database; detected sensitive submissions are redacted. Your name is self-reported and does not verify your identity. Your questions and recent conversation context are sent to OpenAI to select approved public information; your name and admin notes are not sent. Conversations expire after 24 hours. A temporary copy of your conversation ID and up to 30 messages is kept in this tab’s session storage for up to 24 hours, so navigating, changing language or refreshing does not reset the chat. Unsent drafts and your name are not saved in this browser copy. Clear chat removes the browser copy, not the server records. Expired records are removed by the server’s hourly cleanup. OpenAI processes requests under its data policies. Do not share private student, patient, payment or login information.

Manage your cookie preferences

Select Accept or Reject in the cookie notice, or open Cookie settings in the footer to change your choice. You can also use the button below. Your selection is saved for up to 180 days. Continuing to browse without choosing an option does not count as accepting optional cookies.

Browser controls

Your browser settings let you inspect, delete, or block cookies. Deleting the cookie-choice record makes the notice appear again; deleting the language cookie may reset your language preference. If cookies are blocked, we can keep your choice only in temporary page memory, and you may need to choose again after reloading. Check your browser’s help menu for instructions for your device.

Other websites and services

The Contact Us page uses Google Maps after you accept optional cookies. Loading it sends information such as your IP address to Google, which may use cookies under its own privacy and cookie practices. Rejecting optional cookies prevents the embedded map from loading. Links to Google Maps, accreditation organizations, and other external websites open services with their own practices; our cookie controls cannot manage cookies on those websites.

Updates to this policy

We will update this page when the site’s cookie use changes and revise the date above. Changes that introduce optional cookie services will prompt a new choice.
